KiwiSaver: Sorted

Unlock the opportunity in your KiwiSaver with clear advice, no jargon, and a plan built to perform.

In two minutes, you can get a quick read on whether your KiwiSaver is doing what it should — and what might be worth looking at next.

KiwiSaver is too important to leave on autopilot.

For something that can make a massive difference to your future, KiwiSaver often gets treated like background admin.

Set it up once. Forget about it. Hope for the best.

Fair enough — it is not exactly the most exciting thing on your to-do list.

But small differences in fund choice, contributions, fees, and performance can add up in a seriously big way over time.

This is not about panic. It is about paying attention to something that is worth it.

We keep it simple.

Because it should be.

Prosper exists to make KiwiSaver feel less like a chore and more like an opportunity.

We help you understand what you have, what it is doing, and what could be worth changing — without the waffle, the pressure, or the finance-chat weirdness.

No jargon. No judgement. Just clear advice that helps you make informed decisions and set your KiwiSaver up to perform over the long term.

Because a small shift now could make a massive difference later.

Clear advice

Simple explanations you can actually understand.

Built around you

Your goals, timeline, and life come before any provider.

Independent thinking

The strategy gets sorted first. The provider comes second.

Made to perform

Advice that helps your KiwiSaver do more than quietly tick along

You first.

Provider second.

Most KiwiSaver advice starts with a provider.

Prosper starts with you.

We look at where you’re at, what matters to you, and what your KiwiSaver needs to do. Once the strategy is sorted, we can find the provider and fund that best fit the plan.

It is a simple change in order — but it leads to much better advice.

1.

Check where you’re at

Start with the two-minute Health Check. It gives us a quick read on your current KiwiSaver and highlights anything that may be worth a closer look.

2.

Get the strategy sorted

We review your fund type, contribution rate, tax rate, goals, timeline, and how much risk makes sense for you.

No generic recommendation. No squeezing you into a pre-selected option.

3.

Find the right fit

Once the plan is clear, we compare the market and recommend the provider and fund that best support it.

If your current setup is already doing the job, we will tell you that too.

Small shifts.

Massive impacts.

A little can become a lot.

Two KiwiSaver funds can look reasonably similar today.

Give them time, and even a small difference in performance can create two very different outcomes.

This is compounding at work. At first, the gap is barely noticeable. Then it grows. And grows. Until the small decision you made years ago is worth paying serious attention to.

KiwiSaver help for real life.

KiwiSaver is not one-size-fits-all.

What makes sense when you are buying your first home can be very different from what you need when retirement is getting closer — or when running a business keeps pushing everything else down the list.

Prosper helps get the strategy right for where you are now and where you want to go next.

First home buyers

Your KiwiSaver could make a massive difference to your first-home deposit.

We help you understand what you can use, what needs to stay put, and whether your fund is set up properly for your buying timeline.

Saving for retirement

As retirement gets closer, the balance between growth and stability becomes more important.

We help make sure your KiwiSaver is still working hard without taking risks that no longer make sense.

Business owners

When you are busy running a business, KiwiSaver can easily end up in the too-hard basket.

We help you find a contribution and investment approach that works around cash flow, changing priorities, and the bigger financial picture.

Not quite sure where you fit?

No worries. Start with the Health Check and we will point you in the right direction.

Clear advice from good humans.

Prosper was built to make KiwiSaver easier to understand, easier to act on, and much less painful to think about.

JP and Nick bring a shared love of sport, investments, and doing things properly — along with the belief that financial advice should feel useful, relatable, and available to everyday Kiwis.

No jargon. No judgement. No making you feel like you should already know the answers.

Just good people helping you make better decisions.

JP

JP

Director & Senior Financial Adviser

JP — or Jarred when he’s in trouble — is a proud Cantab with two longstanding passions: sport and investments.

After working in financial advice and seeing an opportunity to do things differently, he founded Prosper to make good advice more accessible, understandable, and genuinely enjoyable.

When he is not talking KiwiSaver, you will usually find him training, listening to a podcast, or standing on top of a mountain somewhere.

Nick

Nick

Head of Growth & Strategy

Nick — or Nicholas when he’s in trouble — brings a background in professional cricket, sales, strategy, and a long-running interest in investments.

He joined Prosper to help change how everyday Kiwis see financial advice. It does not need to be intimidating, time-consuming, boring, or reserved for people with enormous bank accounts.

Outside of Prosper, you will likely find him in the kitchen or reading a good book.

What people say after the chat

Turns out, KiwiSaver advice does not need to be painful.

The best proof of the Prosper approach comes from the people who have been through it.

They leave with a clearer understanding of what they have, more confidence in what comes next, and usually a fair bit of relief that getting sorted was easier than expected.

"JP suggested a fund that was super interesting to me, one I hadn’t heard of and aligned with my goals. It was soooo fast to change things over. I would highly recommend. It is nice to know I have someone in my corner working with me to make me rich in retirement!"

A few fair questions

Is the review really free?

Yep. The initial KiwiSaver review is free. We will take a proper look at where you are, explain what we find, and let you know whether anything could be worth changing.

Are you independent?

Yes. We are not tied to one KiwiSaver provider, so the recommendation starts with what is right for you — not what someone wants us to sell.

How long does it take?

The Health Check takes around two minutes. From there, an initial conversation can take as little as 15 minutes, depending on what you need.

Will I have to switch providers?

Not necessarily. If your current provider and fund are already doing the right job, we will tell you. If a change could improve the setup, we will explain what, why, and what happens next.

Can you help with a first-home withdrawal?

Absolutely. We can help you understand what you may be able to use, how your timeline affects your fund choice, and what to think about before withdrawing.

Give your KiwiSaver a proper once-over.

It does not need to be complicated, and it does not need to take forever.

In around two minutes, you can get a clearer read on where your KiwiSaver is at — and whether a small shift now could make a massive difference later.
